I would read this more closely, but all of my brain cells are currently attached to data inquiry, commonly planning a department, remediating in the last eighteen days like critical thinking skills can be "crammed" and wow indicators.

    Amen.

    BUT:

    1. MS is at the top with testing difficulty. I WISH it were MS had lower standards. Sigh. Northern stereotyping ;)

    2. Testing should be diagnostic in measurement if we're going to blame ME for their score in tenth grade. Don't I get brownie points for bringing them up during the year? Or at least a bathroom break?

    3. I'm tired of being the state's whipping boy. Especially since I am offended by the assumption that only boys can be beat. I'm tired.

    4. I should be more well-read on NCLB, but I wonder tonight...at almost midnight of another day, that started at five, of non-stop working...does NCLB at ALL address teacher shortages? Does it have a plan for when we all fall down? In my fantasies, Bush comes to my school to teach my class. Because I'd like to be in the classroom laughing at him.
